ćevap

Banjalučki ćevap in lepinja (flatbread) is considered the most famous brand of Banja Luka by many people. It is unique in its appearance, taste and manner of serving. It appeared before more than 100 years and celebrated and became common throughout the former Yugoslavia originally, and then all around the world. Banjalučki ćevap is made of beef, pepper, salt, mutton and garlic, prepared on the grill. It is served in specialized restaurants and shops called "ćevabdžinica" or "grill", although it can be ordered in most restaurants. Ćevap is eaten hot, by fingers and toothpicks, although You will be given and served utensils in most of grills. Largely - chopped onion is served with ćevap. After eating ćevap, yogurt or sour milk are recommended.
