Banja Luka tourist board was established by the Decision of the Assembly of Banja Luka 25th 09th 2003 in the order of developing, preservation and protection of tourism values in the Banja Luka municipality. Has started 24th 08th 2004 . Activities of Banja Luka tourist board are:
• routing activities of holders of tourist offer in enriching and rising of quality level and tourism complementary activities and creating an attractive tourist environment in of the Banja Luka municipality;
• Organization of tourist promotional activities, cultural, sporting and other events of interest to tourism of the City;
• Improvement and promotion of basic values (tradition, customs, ethnological treasure and etc.) and creating conditions for its use;
• Organization of congresses and other forms of business tourism;
• Promotion and organization of actions in order to preserve the tourist area, improving tourist environment and environmental protection in the area of the City;
• Mediation in providing tour guide services and accommodation services (primarily in the private accommodation);
• Establishment of tourist information centers for information-promotion activity of the City to informing visitors about the tourist, cultural and other values of the City;
• Performing other duties and activities of interest for tourism development in the Banja Luka municipality in accordance with the laws, statutes, and the request of the founder.
Recently received “Golden rose of tourism” represents confirmation of solid work, but it also represents significant obligation for both Banja Luka city authorities and TOBL.
